Working with Minor Hockey- Partners in Action!
Welcome to RPM Hockey Company Ltd. Canada’s largest and most creative year round instructional service. For the past 43 years RPM has worked with hockey conscious communities in an effort to design and implement services ‘tailored’ to meet specific needs. Todays hockey services have come along way from that of a few years ago, where one type of service at one type of cost was all that was offered. The paint everyone with the same brush approach is gone.
Todays associations, executives, coaches, players and parents require specific assistance. With todays challenges, shifting expectations and consumers wanting and expecting more RPM has met these challenges and needs head on by establishing a diverse service that in partnership meets everyone’s needs. I invite you to review the information provided in this presentation to learn why RPM is the choice of so many and how our services can help meet your specific needs.
Trusted and True...the hockey business is not an easy one. What is it that separates one provider from another? Reputation? Longevity? Consistency? Detailed Instruction? Variety? Safe? Organized? Affordable? Available? Creative? Curriculum based? Exceptional Staff? Results oriented? All of the above? One thing for sure, if we didn’t deliver the service you wouldn’t be around as long as we have.
RPM is a BC Hockey Associate Member - All of our instructional staff that teach for minor hockey are certified coaches and have their CRC and RIS.
So why RPM? Since 1983 we have made it our obligation to not only meet but to exceed the needs of our clients. Bottom line? We deliver a service that minor hockey associations come back to time and time again, year after year! In recent years many of the service providers who have entered the business are all flash and no substance!
Running players through fast paced drills (the flash) with very little or no attention to the details (substance). Kids continually move through the drills incorrectly and they don’t get corrected! These same providers don’t demonstrate the drills properly, they don’t breakdown skills and they don’t correct the players.
The services outside providers offer should be different than what can be offered internally through the association, otherwise its simply a duplication and a poor use of your resources.
Why we are different.... RPM is curriculum based meaning everything we do is built on technical details, proper mechanics, progressions, accurate verbal and visual demonstrations, followed by skill breakdown, implementation and correction. In all skill areas specifics must be identified and mastered before the player can move to more advanced skills. We teach by progressions enabling the player to obtain and gain control of a given skill and then move through progressions to higher levels of learning.
